Hi all,

Now that I've got your attention - if you are in easy reach of Central London/The City, how about mailing me and we will set up a Xmas drink or two. Already met one drunkard (you know who you are;)) and I'd love to meet a few more.

paul.whitfield@fortisbank.com

Cheers,

Paul.

P.S. I'm not getting the first round in, the Free Beer tag was just a marketing device:D

Any decent kebab shops nearby? The one here in Guildford's terrible. They don't do thousand island sauce, tsk tsk.

Why do we need a kebab shop. I thought we were going to a pub ;-)

Harry's obsessed with kebabs.

If I manage to get into Imperial College in couple of years' time, I might be down there :). For now, I'll be there in spirit (;)).

Paul,

Did you get my email on Friday evening? Was up for beers, but that email address is my home one… So, when next and where? (I’m on Cannon St)…

Gaffer,

Errr. No - basically I did not check my e-mail at home... Can you mail me on paul.whitfield@fortisbank.com at work?

Cheers,

Paul.

Hey hey hey!

Am in London next monday with school (it's some A level computing students' conference thingie), but I don't think they'll let me come back late just so I can go drinking ;).

Apparently Alan Solomon's doing something at this conference. Don't know why, since he's a bit irrelevant :D

PS: I'm not a wuss...I just don't have time to get to London (*sobs*)

you know you're a wuß parksie.... you just don't want to admit it..

Met Alan Solomon once, amazing guy, amazing halitosis - stay downwind parksie!

Cheers,

Paul.

P.S. Dennis - what are you doing on this thread? You're not even on the same continent!

Nov 13th, 2000, 06:54 PM
Ummmm... why does that matter?
Beer mmmmmmmmmmm

We did the figures, and worked out we could probably justify a trip to London on beer consumption if they handed it out free on the plane.

Then horrors......

It turns out it was all a con job by the London Sherry Drinkers association...........

Next February am probably going to be in Manchester, (if we get a sale), any one up for a decent night of real beer drinking.

Hey guys, you really are losing the thread (literally). If I am going to buy a round (unlikely, but possible), I am not going to:

a) fly to the States to do it
b) go to Manchester under any circumstances!

Maybe I can send you a virtual beer or two...

Dennis, you may have to wait a few years on this one, wouldn't want to do anything illegal...

Cheers,

Paul.
