Hello !

I've got a problem with the MS-Agents. I wrote an app using these agents under Win2000 compiled it with Vb6 and everything works fine.
When I installed the app on Win98 my sweet agents do not talk anymore. the Microsoft

The Lernout & Hauspie TruVoice text-to-speech engine is installed and I can test it with the pronouncation-button in control-panel's Speech-Applet.

But my agents do not talk anymore. They don't even open their mouth.

Any idea what I forgot to do ?

Björn

Did u copy the necessary DLL's?
In other words did u install that MsAgent on the new machine again. I think that should solve ur problem

are there any error message? if not try re-installing the application where you got the text-to-speech engine. i used the same Lernout & Hauspie text-to-speech engine and i got it from encarta 2000. at first my program did not work but after i re-installed encarta, my program worked just fine.

goodluck!!!

Hi Tonio !

I'll try that. There are no errors. The text appears on the screen but the agent does not move his lips. That's anything. Quite confusing, I think.
I have now tested it on three different Win98 computers and it always sucked.
I'll test the Encarta-solution.
Thanks
