Hi,,,
I wanted to learn .NET...I have .net framework sdk 1.1 in my laptop and sharp develop ide...I have'nt had purchased/acquire Visual Studio yet..I started programming applications using sharp develop however did not have good results compared with visual studio..
My questions are the following:
1. Is my version of .net installed on my laptop correct? I know there is 2.0 version available..
2. What Visual studio versions are compatible with 2.0 and 1.1 sdk?
3. What are redistributable packages?
Thanks for any friendly advices....

Did you know that you can get the .NET Express versions for free for about 7-8 more months? After that they will cost !$49 if you want to get it after the free giveaway period.
Yes, #Develop is compatible with 1.1

.NET 1.1 works on VS 2003.
.NET 2.0 works on VS 2005.

Hi all!
I have with me 3 CD's(software installers) regarding Visual Studio.net 2003..It's the Enterprise Architect 2003 edition..I also viewed this website..
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/previous/2003/overview/default.aspx
My question is simple....Is Enterprise Architect 2003 editions provide all the features/capabilities of visual studio 2003 and the top of all editions? Example is, Enterprise Edition of Visual Studio 6.0 is the top of all vs 6.0 editions..
Im just learning .NET and would create programs(database, web, and etc.)using VB/C#..Lesser on J# and C++..
Thanks..
Greg :) :) :)
