    $10,000 Programming Contest from Microsoft

I have a quick write-up here about this contest

But basically, go to MadeInExpressContest.com for rules and such. You have to use the Express Editions of Visual Studio and you'll have to submit your idea to Microsoft. If they like it, you begin coding your project and you'll compete against others for $10,000 as well as a $1,000 1st place prize and $250 runner up gift cards from Amazon.

I submitted this story to VBWire but I didn't know if it'd get accepted so I wanted to make sure the programmers here knew about it.

    It's just for the ExpressEdition
    I've never used it

What's the problem with that? You can download it and install it for free AND it installs next to the full Visual Studio 2005.

Microsoft says I have to uninstall any VS 2005 or SQL 2005 before installing the express
    I'm not gonna do that

I still don't see why you couldn't participate. The project files and such are the same. Just don't make a DirectX or PocketPC project or anything projects not included with any EE.

A project file is a project file. It's the same. Solutions may be a little different but I doubt it.

BTW, I would like to thank VBWire for not giving me any credit for submitting this story when they posted it
