I have an project that uses an Access ms jet 3.51 database and uses ADO to connect.
When i run an instal on a clean machine and have installed mdac_typ 2.5 and set up an ODBC connection to Access. I still get the error provider cannot be found.
I have included in my setup msjet3.5 and msjet3.6 engines and it still does not work. All odbc settings are identical to my development machine.
Any ideas anyone?

Chris

1) Try to convert your database to jet 4.0
2) Why don't you use MsJet instead of ODBC ? I mean when you make the connection. I think it's better when you connect to Access databases.

Hi,
I do use msjet, however the clean machine has never had a database onit so I still need to set up an odbc connection for access.
I cannot convert the database to msjet 4 as the database is used by another program which would also need changing.
Any further suggestions???
Regards
Chris
