Installation Error

anyone know why i get the following error when i run my installation?


The file "c:\TEMP\msftqws.pdw\$[DLLSelfRegseterEx]" could not be registered because it was not found


i really need this as soon as possible

It reminds me of a problem I had when deploying on Win 2000, where you have to be logged on with admin rights to install software. Could that be the problem?

i have tried it with administrator access as well
still same problem..
dont know why
but i will try it again

am using winn4 by the way..

One more suggestion - if the machine reboots in the installation routine, make sure that the autoexec.bat doesn't have something in it to clear all temporary files ie;

del c:\temp\*.tmp

as this could have the same effect

I ran into this same VERY ANNOYING problem. I identified it as being caused by the calendar control, but I never came up with a fix.
