    only one problem though, if there isn't a space after the string, it won't parse the last part... heh

    eh? i tested it several times and it works fine.. what string did you use?
    Use
    writing software in C++ is like driving rivets into steel beam with a toothpick.
    writing haskell makes your life easier:
    reverse (p (6*9)) where p x|x==0=""|True=chr (48+z): p y where (y,z)=divMod x 13

    well... at the end of the string, there needs to be a space in order for the last 4 to be parsed...
