    VB 3 & Long file names

    I am using VB3 to move and rename XLS files. Is there a way to get VB 3 to recognise long file names?

    No, VB3 is for 16-bit applications and as such they do not support long filenames.

    At least VB4 32-bit (VB4 came in two different editions 16-bit and 32-bit, you would need the 32-bit edition) or any version after that.

    VB5 and later is nothing but 32 bit. I suggest you obtain VB.NET now since VB is being abandoned from MS, and the job market.
