I finally finished building my computer and booted it up for the first time. Everything runs perfectly, but on the monitor screen it says no signal detected. I've made sure all the cables were connected and the video card is set in there properly, but it still doesn't do anything. Can anyone help me out on this?

If it's an onboard graphics adapter, make sure that it's on, and if it's a board, make sure that the bios is OFF. If you know the monitor works, then you can skip testing it. See about the cable. Usually, you should see the POST screen.

Check the pins in the monitor cables connector, sometimes they can get bent out of shape (and then don't make a connection).

Try moving tha cable to the onboard graphics for your first bot ;)
After that modify the BIOS accordingly to boot with your Graphics card thereafter.

Common mistake :)

Sorry guys, it was something really stupid. It turned out that I was fortunate to look at the motherboard requirements for RAM and I had them placed wrong. Instead of side by side they were suppose to be in the A1 and B1 slots. After that it stil didn't work. When an hour had passed I simply turned the monitor off and turned it back on and it worked!! Glad it was something small, though.
