I have written code in Embedded visual basic 3.0 and using pocket pc 2002 as emulator . i don't have actual pocket pc device . when i execute the code the emulator gets started but my codes output (my form design) is not shown on the emulator.
How to solve this problem?
How to establish partnership with a desktop computer?
What is actual use of active sync?
Can i get the code of any pocket pc?

1. Is you form set as the start form for the project
2. Using activesync & the emulator (http://www.daycounter.com/EmulatorActiveSync.html)
3. ActiveSync is used to establish a connection between the device & your pc. To view files, install programs etc....
4. What do you mean be get the code of any pocket pc

In ActiveSync folder of emulator, when i double click on icon it gives message that yopu have to first establish connection with desktop computer. What is it actually? And code for Pocket PC, means any application code (In Visial Basic) written for pocket PC. Thank You.
I have designed code in Embedded VB 3.0 of EnergyMeter Reader, It contains only one form, As per my knowledge when we run the programme the form design should be displayed on emulator, but i didn't get it.

I have never had the need to connect emulator to activesync so therefore i have never used it.
"Can i get code of any pocket pc" - what code do you want to get?
Do you want the see the code of the applications already on the device? (Not possible).
Do you want to see some sample code? I dont understand what you ask here?
EVB is no longer supported onwards from windows mobile 5.0.

ok following is the problem. The code i have written for energy meter when executed will run the emulator but on the emulator the form is not displayed. I looked in the emulator but nowhere the form is displayed.... why is this so. 'Coz according to the programming in embedded visual basic book from which i have written the code the form shud be displayed on the emulator directly when i execute the code.
Is Active sync required to run the code on emulator or on the actual pocket pc???
Plz provide any sample programs which are functioning properly at ur place so that i can test it on my own pc. thank you.

Hi this is chetan the one working on same project with coolandhot.
Actually i have copied code from one book named as PROGRAMMING
EMBEDDED VB , so there is no chance of error in code, as per author's article
when we run this code in Embedded Visual Basic 3.0 with emulator using
Pocket PC 2002 you will get the form design of your code on emulator,
but when i did so i didn't get form design on emulator i think that the code and emulator is not connecting, What is UR opinion? , What could be the
problem? ,Have u ever done programme in Embedde vb using emulator
as Pocket PC 2002?

Its been nearly 2 years since i last used eVB.
Saying that i never had any issue with running code on the emulator. (I mostly used the device for debugging over the emulator as i found the emulator very annoying to use when you wanted to have a file on it)
You do not need activesync to debug in the emulator, only when debugging on the PocketPC device
Maybe try looking up the Help files in eVB i remember them being very useful when i started with eVB.
Have you tried this on 2 different pc's?
I'd recommend posting you question here (http://forums.devbuzz.com/eVB_Development/forumid_2/tt.htm) as you will probably get a better response from people who use eVB.
