Ah, sounds like you must have VB6 ent, sp3 or something similar, it's suppose to crash VB

whooooooopps! maybe i should have put "works only with VB6 ent, sp3 and the vb dir should be D:\vb6ent\ and you should have about 160 M Ram allocated with 128 MRAM, and the processor should be no less than 600mhz + it only works for athlon machines, btw icq should be running and the height of the taskbar should be 2X the normal height, also if you have quake 2 installed and winamp playing Eminem - I'm back.mp3 at position 1:03 then it might work, otherways theres no chance!

VB6Ent SP2(or is it 3? I can't remember)
500mhz PIII
128mb ram
ICQ running
taskbar normal size
800x600 res

and it worked fine....

?! and

it's like I was subclassing and I pushed end...

the illegal operation came up, vb went away, then another illegal operation box came up..

Cool Dennis! Ive finally got someone who can testify that i'm a smartass that found out this cool bug. Of course, theres no greater smartass than Dennis himself ;)

Here's another one that I found.
The results are more impressive! (Regular VB runtime error, followed by a fatal error, and finally VB causing a general protection fault in GDI)
Create a normal Standard EXE project.
Add a UserControl.
Use this code in the UserControl:

Private Sub UserControl_Resize()
Width = Width ' SEEMINGLY innocent?
End Sub

Close the UserControl's design window, open the Form's design window, and place an instance of the UserControl on the Form.
Resize it very specifically:
You should see eight "resize dots". Grab the bottom-right dot.
Drag this dot all the way up. (To above the top-right dot - it's possible to drag it a few pixels above it)
Release the mouse button.Enjoy!

Yeah, that's the more impressive bug ;)

Dennis: I don't use the windows-shell (explorer.exe) so there's no tasbar...

BTW, fox what kind of bar do you use? I've tested a lot of shell reps but they all seems to be too good at eating resources :( YEah Yonatan, thats a pretty neat one :) I first thought it just was a regular out of stackspace thing but then it really crashed. Jethro, if you wonder why i put your name in the post subject and didn't post anything that has to do with you then i can tell you thats the point with it :)

Nov 2nd, 2000, 07:27 PM
.....you did post something to me.

Kedaman's mum = kedamum

Kedaman's dad = kedadad

Kedaman's job = kedajob.....lol.....

Oops...apology if that means anything disgusting in Finnish...it was not intended, but figure that kedaman possibly means something, therefore changing a few letters might get another word.
