Welcome to the forums.

Does the message specify what the error is?

Just a little advice, you might not want to use AIM's triton. I was (unfortunately) able to install it and it attempts to take over everything on your computer. The only difference between the new version and the former is that now you have to pay for buddy icons (you can't upload your own), AOL will take over your default web browser with "AOL Explorer," and you have to specify where you want AIM to place their adds (in your IM window or on the buddy list).

Also, good luck trying to close AIM triton. There's a tedious process of closing the buddy list, signing off, exiting and then reassuring AIM that you really wanted to do all of that. After a quick taunt about how it is able to run invisibly and that it will be back the second you look the other way, it finally closes.

The only positives is being able to tie your screen names together (which saving and loading your buddylist seems to suffice) and have a single window for all IMs.

Slightly off topic, but I thought I'd give you an honest review before you do install it.
