    Read Only items

    I am creating a word template using VB. When the template opens I will need to read a value from the database. Depending on the value returned, certain fields/lines of text/tables in the document will need to be read only.

    Can this be easily achieved? Is it a case of setting properties of items?

    I've never tried this in a template doc. However, if you can do it by hand, you should be able to do it in code.
