Question VISUAL BASIC VS VISUAL FOX (for experts)

Ive done a quick search on the internet and found many sites that shows the advantages of using vfox I also have some friends that tell me that fox is better for handling data, quicker, the programming has less code, example(instant combo in a grid) and it can also connect with SQL server.
I program in VB but need to know what this forum thinks about Vfox and perhaps what are the drawbacks of using it.
Why VFox isnt a .net language?

    Thanks,
    Cybersandokan

I'd say it's like comparing beer from the bottle vs darft...

Anyway, two magnificent products - one is totally database oriented (FoxPro) and the other is much more flexible in building front ends or whatever you wish to...
One supports inheritance (FoxPro) and the other doesn't.

I can continue this list on and on but the point is WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?

If you're looking for some database processing performance then VF would probably be better, if for some DB + fancy front end then VB.
If you're after writing games and stuff then definitely VB.
I would also doubt (with all do respect to VFP) that you can build large scaled enterprise app in VFP.

    My few cents.

Visual FoxPro is great for desktop database applications, much like Access but has the ability to build stand-alone apps. VB can do anything but, yes, it requires a bit more code if you want to access a FoxPro database from VB, however how easy is it to access a SQL or Oracle database source from FoxPro?
