API Newbie - Need API basics tutorial

Hi, I really want to know about windows API, I don't have any idea about how must i use it. Because of that, I'm looking for a tutorial wich exaplains me from the basics of its usage and terms to mid level or something like that. When I say basics, I really mean it. I always see "Public Declare Function GetSomehing Alies "Kernel32.dll"... and even I can't understand values like &HD, and so on. So, does anybody know about a tutorial wich exaplains me that kind of things about API's usage?.

    Regards!:

Check out www.allapi.net where you will find many examples. Just search for anything you might want to do. Search for SendMessage to get started

well, www.allapi.net is a really great page, and that's what I was looking for. About your links hack, did you buy any of those books? I'm asking you because I'm from Argentina, so 1 dollar for you are 3 pesos for me. Because of that, i need to know if any of those books are worth buying.

Thank you both for your answer.

Download the API Viewer and API Guide from allapi.net. They are invaluable tools for when you dont have internet access to the site or just dont want to wait.

I just have downloaded both!, I think that the word wich fix with what these applications really are is that simple word that you've said.... They are invaluable tools, and let me add one more thing, having or not internet! They're amazing!.
Thank you very much for the tip.
Hack, so I can buy them with confidence, isn't that right?
