well not ini files, what i hate about ini files is that its easy to edit, i mean memory reading/processing, theres a programs out there that extarct weird lines of code, like if ya have a gameshark for a playsttation some codes look like this : 80012342 FFFF

same thing with memory in programs, the memory can only be acssesed while the program is running, thnx and bye

Where can i find info or webpages that talk about reading and processing memory in vb? you know how games use memory to do certin stuff well i want vb to edit the memory to change values like if you had 5 life in a game and wanted 10 you use a memory program to do that, well i want to learn how to make my own proggies that read/prcosess memory!, please help, thnx and bye

Do you mean like write your information to a file and then read it. For instance have your game tell a file that you have 5 lives left and then when you die it writes it again saying now you have 4 then say you all of a sudden find a secret and you get 5 more lifes so now you have 9 then the program tells the file you have 9. So when you go to play it again you can start out with 9 lives instead of 5? IF this is what you are looking for you can use ini files or the system registry. I like ini files better and I am pretty good at them but I am not touching registry. I would be glad to help you if you choose ini
