I need to get info for a poll for maths

Hi, I need to find out a few things about programmers for maths. Thanks for spending a few seconds to read this thread. Please also post How long you have been programming and How old you are.

Why math? Strange subject. School project?

Well, I'm 38, and have only been programming seriously for 13 years. However, I actually started with BASIC on a TRS-80 level I (if anybody remembers that piece of work, with 4K RAM and a tape drive that used VERY short tapes). I don't really count that, though.

I started with Basic on, erm, ah yes! the Commodore 64.

I'm late 20's, and have been coding (at various degrees of frequency) for about 15 years.

I had used different versions of Basic since the Apple II came out, but my first class was on the mainframe using BAL (Basic Assembler Language) to show you how much easier COBOL was!
