How much does VBForums cost?

How much does the hosting for VBForums cost JupiterMedia? How much server space have they bought?

Or do they own one of those web farms with web orchards?

I believe that they own their own servers. VB Forums is just one of the many sites they host on their group of servers. I dont know how much it costs them for internet access but it must be high as they have allot of bandwidth flowing through all their sites combined. I think they have somewhere in the range of 25-35 sites.

I don't know the answer to this and if I did, it most likely wouldn't be something we would post to a forum. I doubt any company would give you this answer.

Yep (on owning them) - we just bought a number of new servers that are being added to a number of sites. This site is in line for more server power too. As to the number, you are a bit low. We had around 29 FORUMS, although that may be one or two lower now (JPnyc could tell you exactly how many forums we have). The forums are a part of over 100 sites. I know the site count was around 160 at one point. Many of our newer sites are graphics sites(we are one of the top graphic companies now), so you can just image the bandwidth usage when you add those to the mix.....

163 sites :D See, then when you guys see all the Ads you should realize that this is how they can recoupe some of the costs involved in running all these sites. :)
