    Unhappy setup.exe fron website

tried to take the 3 files generated with the package and deployment wizard and put them on my website so folks could install my program from the web. keep getting an error message about a missing file.

    Moved from FAQ forum

    Hi bganson, welcome to VBForums!

Which files did you put on your web site? If it was the Setup.exe etc then this won't work, as the users will only download one file rather than all three as needed.

You need to create a setup suitable for the web, which I think P&DW can do if you select the web option when prompted.

    bganson,

How are you attempting to deploy these files? Are you downloading all three files to the target pc then running the setup.exe. if not you will be missing files. Also if you did not include all the files in your setup you may get this message. You need to go into depth about what you did to get a good answer.

You should also think about using an installer that only has one file to deploy.

Also you have double posted... Not a good idea.
