Starting a business
I've been looking into and thinking about starting my own business.
Anybody have any stories they'd like to share?

Re: Starting a business
Hi,
ive been running my own busines for a while now and were pretty sucessfull..
First of al. Youll need a business plan to strt off with detailing your busines, structure, layout, ffinancial records, marketing strategy, business strategy, market research, funding neeed/got, overview, 5 year, financial records plan, customer base details, quotes for services needed, legal issues, tax details, self employmetn details, stuff like that.
Make it realistic and goal orientated and not something youve jsut plucked out fothe sky, and go over it and ask yourself, cna I achieve this and more...
AND BE PREPARED FOR AN UPHILL STRUGGLE!!!! as its not easy by any means..
Then get your self a good busines manager and see advice. There are loads of proects out there to help you.. (where are you based, adn ill see whos outther that I know in your base...)
Lookj at your competition and analyse them closely to see how they operate, whats turnover and how reputable they are, and how they got there, how thy get there business out there, and what theyuse to get recognised such as advertising.
Look at legal issues closely, and get yoursefla good lawyer. Someout there do like an hour or so free of charge so use it wisely.
Put together a portfolio of yourself together to back up your idea and prove youre capable.
Consult regularly with your business manager prior to launchin your business to make sure your on the right track (again. Tell me where you are and ill put you onthe right track people wise...)
When spending money on stuff, get the best deal posible sucha s adertising, free banking, legal fees and such as these things soon mount up to a large sum of cash.
Look at the question whether you can fund the ide yourself, or will you ned backing. Remember that if your get funding adn fail, your in debt, and ahve to ansesr for this, if you dont yoll be skint, but your own true boss..
be prepard to work long hours and hard in your first 2 years as it take a while to get recognised and work above your competition.
Always referr back to your busines plan regularly to see whare your at with targets, such as marketing, client feedback, job turnover and business targets and such.. ..
Alwasy be goal orientated..
Any questions??
