I think this is the right place
What is a 'SmartTagType'?
We keep getting activeX errors in Outlook Express

Aah... how do I explain this.
Ok, do you know how in the newer versions of Outlook, sometimes, a word will be underlined with a dashed line? For example, try looking at an email with the word ur in it, it'll be underlined. You can click on it and it'll say that Ur is a place (in Sumer which was an important city and is also considered to be the birthplace of Abraham). That thingy there is the smarttag, and the smarttagtype is place name (or whatever it's called).
There is obviously some conflict with the email being sent/viewed in OE that is causing that error. AFAIK, It's an outlook only feature.

So its a typical Microsoft lets not make it backward compatable but try and use it on all machines thing
