    how to delete "look2me" spyware

    hi guys i've got the malware/spyware "look2me" it continues to send me pop ups and such its quite annoying i'm using AVG for virus scan, adware, SpySweeper, BHODemon 2.0 and CCleaner for spyware and malware i scan it in safe mode and it still finds nothing i also notice it fills my host file with numerous sites but once i either delete it or clean the file up it puts it all back any ideas on how to get rid of it ? thanx in advance

    yes i've tried the reg key its talking about does not exist in the regestry

    TrendMicro.com in Safe Mode with Networking. If you can get to it in IE, then it should be found/removed.

    thanks dglienna but there is one prob my ISP is PPOE ( point to point over ethernet) so i'm not sure if it will allow me to load the drivers in safemode

    Well, try it in normal mode. It should require a reboot to delete the files that it finds. You may want to try Avast!. I have found that it's pretty good. It will do a scan before it installs for the first time. Never used AVG myself.

    alright i'll give it a try ... i like AVG its pretty good i used to have Mcafee but it kept detecting most of my vb apps as viruses (i beleive i posted a prob about it b4) but AVG is pretty good considerin its free :
