Should we go for VS.NET 2005
Hi,
I'm currently using VS.NET 2003 for about one year, and we had a lot of projects developed including Windows Form application with COM+ and .NET Remoting, ASP.NET projects, and going to develop our mobile solutions too.
As advised by M$, we should go for 2005 (VS and SQL) as there are better support for mobile devices and also simplified tasks as compare w/2003.
In addition, we are also considering using Web Service instead of .NET Remoting for on-going development. However, SQL Server may remain 2000.
I've spend the whole morning to read from M$ the new features in VS.NET 2005, but cannot get much attraction from it.
Maybe some expert here can advise if we should go for 2005 in the scenario above?
Thx!

IMO VS.NET 2005 is a huge step up. Makes coding much easier and. Generics and anonymous methods are nice to work with and ADO.NET and ASP.NET is even better.

Re: Should we go for VS.NET 2005
Hi,
Ive read a bit about VS.2005 and dabbled in the Beta version, but am really reserving my judgement and final decision on this matter until after ive been to the launch event next week.
IU do ahve my own opinions, and do like the current improvements in the Beta version for ADO.NET and business application development, but thsi is only Beta and although its good, im still reserved on it.
Keep you posted.
