CDONTS problem

Hi,

Does CDONTS need Outlook installed to work?

I used the CDONTS codes for sending e-mails posted in this forum on an NT box with IIS installed and I get an error message saying that the object could not be created.

What do I need to do to get it working?

No, you don't have to have Outlook installed. But be sure that you have SMTP service installed. Also, bare in mind that it will work only on WinNT/2000 servers only.

I believe MS has a download to allow you to use CDONTS on Win 98 machines providing Outlook is installed. I don't know where it is exactly so you would have to search MS' site.
