I just restarted my computer and killed all unneccessary programs... well I had 94% system- and 95% GDI-resources left. Then I started 3DSMAX which brings them down to 30% and 85% which is quite normal ;). Then I created a simple box and a sphere and added the morph-modifier... know what happened? 0% user and GDI resources left! You know, no GDI means that the fonts are all changes to system, size and bold changes, menus disappear, colors and so on...
So what the heck is wrong or where can I make GDI and user memory bigger? Any help would be great!

Yeah, I hate when that happens, and it usually happens when i'm using Internet Explorer for some really odd reason, it just eats up all System and GDI's

I've crashed myself on many occasions using the Morph modifer. I can add 30 spheres and not hang but as soon as i do a morph...forget it.
Good Luck.

Hm where can I find my GDI ressources?
I know the problem, it usually happens when I open more than one browser (not browser window) nad ICQ and especially with Getsmart!!
The most of the 3DSMax problems can be solved by setting the virtual memory to about 900MB. (a friend who really does it alot uses more than one gig) 3DSMax uses a lot of memory when adding any modifiers or effects. It's going down again when added!

Hm, I didnt yet try that, but AFAIK resources are not linked to your RAM or virtual memory...
You find the program in your windows folder \\WINDOWS\RSRCMTR.EXE if you installed it ;) its also anywhere in the start menu by the way *g*

AFAIK for me that too, but i think it has to do with the amount of handles, doesn't it?
