    Question Images not in the Images folder

    Can anyone explain why, in a website, that images are never placed in the "images" directory? This folder exists in all the websites code I have ever seen, yet it is always empty. The graphics are always in some other location. Is there a specific reason for this?

    usually you only have a premade images directory when you are using an online website builder, or a builder application. For the people who buy a domain and start their own site there usually isnt an images directory.

    OK. I use FrontPage which automatically creates an images directory. So I use it for all my images and graphics.

    Just curious.
