I've been looking long and hard for info on how to work with the Winsock API (the winsock control, and the WinINet stuff weren't too reliable, so decided to go to the source).

I've found a few great sites that help some, and have downloaded various versions of the winsock.bas.

What I need is a reference to a site that tells one step by step how to connect to a remote site (I'm not doing server work at this time).

Currently, I'm able to setup the connection, generate a socket, but am stuck on the actual connection part...

Any help is appreciated.
