Creating an RSS and ATOM feeds

I currently have news and such on my website. ALl of it is done via PHP and MySQL. I would like to create an RSS feed, however; I cannot figure out how to do so with PHP so It can be dynamic. I haven't done this before and every tutorial I found seems to be totally different from previous tutorials.

Can anyone here let me know how or give me a link to a decent tutorial?
