Project Requests - Need XX posts to start

I've noticed alot of people who dont even have 2 posts requesting projects, I think that VBF should make it so you need a minium set posts before starting projects like 2 posts lol.... or 150 or 300.... All these people are doing is creating accounts which just adds to the big long memerlist and they only come back to see if advanced programmers will work for free for them...

the VBF community should be comprised of programmers who want to know programming and real programmers, not just fake programmers who want people to work for free...

I got two PM's today for requests for help. If you kill their ability to create threads, they'll PM more people.

    Very true

Maybe we should create a comission to find ways of stopping these questions.

Often times new people post there because they don't understand what that forum is for and not because they want someone to do the work for them. Also just because someone only has only a few posts doesn't mean that they are not good and/or experienced programmers.

To go back to minimum posts, 2 minimum posts not in Project Requests would be a great way to stop this.

These posts below are by the same user, with only 3 posts, all 3 were about project request.
    Examples:
    http://vbforums.com/showthread.php?t=346423
    http://vbforums.com/showthread.php?t=316939

I'd rather there was a requirement of X posts before allowing access to the PM system.

And isn't the Project Requests forum meant to be for requesting developers anyway?

Well ya, but I was under the impression that it was just a side affect not what you are supposed to register for, just to post a project unless there is a profit for the developers, All projects in the requests are who were requested by people with 1 post are asking for charity project.

I strongly disagree with this. Most of the PMs I send are to new members who have misposted there thread. I always PM them to let them know I've moved it, and if they couldn't get to the PM system, I venture to say many would simply recreate it in the same old place 'cause they didn't know what happened to the first one.

Well, it is still nice to get a reply from them on something I've sent, so I'd like to see the PM thing remain as is.

Indeed and I think this applies to the forum in question as well

I can't see why it is any different to another forum and if they all required a minimum of X postcount to post in, no new members would be able to post.

how can u distinguished "fake" programmers from those who want to become real programmers????

i believe there is nothing like Fake programmers..............but those who register themselves just wanting ppl here to work for them (of course for free), does not suvive for long here!!!!

such ppl cannot survive for long in any disc forum!!!!!
