hey all.
I haven't used Excel for several years but recently installed Office 2003.

Now I found sth really really really annoying about it. When a cell is active, hitting the arrow keys moves the worksheet view area (scrolls the page) rather what I thought it would do, which is changes cells, up down left right.

I've done it about 100 times now, somehow still thinking it will move the active cell box. Is there a pointer setting or sth to toggle to get this behavior? I know it must have been the way I described at some point.

Is your scroll lock activated on your keyboard?

Don't you just hate that? That and the Insert key give me more trouble than they are worth.

agreed.
and if you use dreamweaver, accidentally hitting f12 instead of backspace can waste about 30 seconds too.
