    Website icon differences

I noticed just now that the site showed an icon. But when I moced to forum feedback forum it disappeared. I attached the images.

What's with this? When was the icon added and why isnt it in all forum pages?

How same? As VB or as no icon?
Here the icon only shows for classic VB forums, all else have no icon.

I think in IE it only shows the fav icon for a particular page that was added to the Favorites? FF probably just doesnt update or change the icon until youu navigate to a different domain.

The thing is that it is not in the favorites. This is the first time I noticed the icon at all...

I use IE and I dont have the icon at all on any page, only if I add it to my favorites. Maybe you have added it before?

    Re: Website icon differences

Favicons have never worked the right way in IE. In Fx they mostly do. There is one cash issue with many open tabs in Fx, but except from that, the favions should work in Fx.

    Cache

If they don't show up or the old one shows up, press Ctrl+F5 to do a full reload and overwrite the cache contents.

Yeah, but the problem with Fx, is that it doesn't help if you all ready have two tabs up and one has the old one and one has the new one...remember our thread about it in CC?

    Re: Website icon differences

Yeah I remember the thread, but I have never had that problem. At one stage just after the icons had been changed I had about 5-6 tabs with the old one and a few with the new one. Ctrl+F5 fixed all the old ones.

    Re: Website icon differences

Here, I managed to do more or less the same again...look at the 5 tabs to the right on my picture. From right they are the domains:

    www.vbforums.com
    vb-forums.com/
    www.vb-forums.com/
    vbforums.com/
    www.vbforums.com/

as you can see, suddenly the www.vbforums.com tabs doesn't have the tab, and it only pops up randomly in the address bar. Pressing Ctrl+F5 does not solve the problem. When I pressed the post reply botton, then it suddenly poped up in the adress bar, but not on the tab. It is a weird thingy.
