PARKSIE U OUT THERE ANYWHERE???
WE WERE GIVEN THIS ASSIGNMENT SPEC AND THAT IS IT WE AHVE NEVER BEEN TAUGHT ABOUT SUBNET MASKING - ITS A GOOD JOB I DONT PAY TUITION FEES FOR THIS COURSE
Introduction
Subnetting of IP addresses is used to enable efficient construction of LANs. A class B network for example will only normally be able to support 162 - 2 hosts. This is far too many for a single network. Subnetting provides a transparent means for generating multiple local networks, without anyone from outside the network needing to know about this subdivision.
Assignment
You are required to write a program in Visual Basic that will calculate the subnet mask for class A,B and C networks and for all valid possibilities with the ranges available. The function of your system should provide at least the function of the subnet mask calculator available at http://www.boson.com.
Thanks u lot
specially parksie
if we ever meet i owe u a 100 pints or so!!!
