    Linux boot screen prob's

    Long story short

I installed Linux > Hated It > Couldnt find out how to uninstall it > so went into windows (first OS) formatted the linux harddrive > Linux gone > but the select OS boot screeen still appears :S

How do i change it back, in the Control Panel > System windows on recognises one OS, being itself.

    Cheers

There's a file on the first partition called BOOT.INI, but before you can edit it you have to remove the READ-ONLY attribute. After you do that, you can remove the extra line and save the file, and change it back to read-only so it doesn't get messed with again.

btw - the file is also HIDDEN.
