[Resolved] - (Hard Disk)less Windows
Is it possible to make a bootable Cd or Dvd with a windows version on it that does not need to write to disk? That can be autonomous by itself upon computer boot?
In other words, I would like to burn a cd or dvd containing a version of windows with softwares on it and use it on others computers without interacting with the other computer Os. A sort of dual boot but one from the hdd and one from the cd/dvd.
If possible, how?
Thks

I don't think that it is possible.. you can get Virtual PC software instead which will allow you to place a virtual OS on the machine which runs in a HD.

Re: (Hard Disk)less Windows
I'm using Virtual Pc, which is a great software, but it doesn't answer my needs in this problem.
Can turning off the swap disk (use only memory for windows) be the solution?

Re: (Hard Disk)less Windows
In effect, you want to create a special Win distro. You can do that by creating a custom XP Embedded image (arm yourself with patience).

Wow!
I've read a bit from the microsoft link you provide and it seem to be very near of what I need to do!
That's great!
Thanks a lot!
