I'm thinking strongly on writting some Multi-Player software like Kali but simplified and easier to use. I'm planning on doing this in Visual Basic6 and of course supporting TCP/IP and IPX.

However I do know the CommandLine options to start the games I wish to make the software for, I'm unsure of the IPX and Directplay protocols and how they work as opposed to basic tcp/ip connections through winsock.

I'd like to create a User Browseable network for each game such as the (http://www.zone.com) uses but still more simplified and more based towards one community of gamers.
