I want to unsuscribe from all the threads to which I am currently subscribed because I'm sick of being notified everytime someone digs up a thread that is 12 years old.

In the CP, you can select a limited amount of threads at a time, but that means I'd still have to go through about 40 pages of subscriptions and unsubscribe. Is there a way to unsubscribe from all of them all at once? Or maybe its there and I'm just not paying enough attention.

you can list up to 200 threads per page by clicking on the "List Subscriptions" link in the UserCP and adding pp=200 to the end.

I have over 7900 subscribed threads. I don't really feel like going through 40 pages to unsubscribe from all of them.

You can try entering 7600 instead but I doubt it will work as it will only display 200 for me. Why don't you break the task up, maybe 5 pages per day? Then you will have it done in a week and a bit :ehh:

I'll ask our forum manager (JPnyc) to look into options for doing this.

Brad!

Unfortunately no, there is no other method. You have to call up the max amount that's displayed at a time, check all, and delete subscriptions. However you could also just change the email in your profile, if you have another valid one. It would have to be valid though since you'll need to validate it again.

Won't that just send all the same notifications to a different email address instead?

Yeah you're probably right, it would. Well there's no recourse then. Just have to delete them the old fashioned way. And you can change the default in your profile to something other than subscribe to each thread you post in, so this won't occur again in a couple months.

I've had the subscriptions turned off for several months now. Its just that people here have an annoying habit of digging up ancient threads for no good reason, and I have to hear about it.

I guess I'm off to do some deleting.
