Advice on using/fixing ClearType
Despite the fact ClearType looks awesome on just about every laptop LCD screen I've seen it on, I've always left it off on my own LCD display because quite frankly it has always looked terrible on it.
However I needed to do some testing of font rendering and so I switched it on and have been trying to live with it for the last 10 minutes or so; and actually it isn't that bad, but it isn't good enough that I would want to use it all the time. Text renders very nicely on some parts of the screen, but in others it is blurry and with bold text it has a lot of red surrounding the type.
I was wondering whether anyone has any advice on how I could get it to look better. I have tried ClearTweak and similiar programs, but can't achieve the sharp look I have seen on laptops. Is it perhaps the phase of my LCD screen, or is is just one of those panels that won't look nice with it no matter what I do?
TIA,
penagate

Re: Advice on using/fixing ClearType
I don't know whether I've just got used to it, or my monitor has somehow adjusted to display it better, but now I love it...
