playing around with sstabs, picture boxes, and passwords
Hi guys was hoping someone can help me in implementing this design I want incorporated in my program. Here's what I have in mind:
The main screen consists of a menu using sstabs. Each tab has other options which open up to other screens in my program. I currently have 4 tabs.
The user must log in the program by entering his/her username and password. Once in the main screen, depending on who the user is, only a certain number of the tabs will be shown. I can have all 4 or just 1 or any other combination. The user's clearance level is the basis of which tabs will be shown. This is taken from my database and stored in a var once the user has succefully logged in.
I have everything done, the password feature and the interface, all I need now is how to show which tabs on the main form load.
Any suggestions?
This isn't realated to the design but was hoping someone can give me their suggestions on this one too:
I got a picture box that changes the picture it displays from time to time in the program. I use the load picture method. Now I don't really have problems it's just that how can I prevent users from editing or deleting the pictures that the picture box uses? I just want to prevent them from tampering with the look of the program. Is using several picture boxed and showing and hiding them more pratical and efficient?
What do you guys think?
Thanks in advance to those who've helped
