Resolved [RESOLVED] J2EE - worth to download and learn?

    Hi,

Seems like there are more roles available to people who have a year ot two with this.

What I would like to know is whether it is worth learning it as it appears to be a free (although big) download for j2ee plus server and tutorials.

    Does anyone use it?
    Is it worth it?
Is it fairly easy to pick up (from VBA/VB background) ?
    Do people/companies pay well?

The demand for it probably depends on the geographical area. I see job requests in the local newspapers and in online job search sites for J2EE positions all the time. I would suggest you pretend you are an experienced J2EE programmer, and look for work in this environment in your area and see what turns up.
