no no.. I am not boasting about how much a microsoft product rocks my desktop...

I have several email addresses at my company (all pop3, no exch server or anything like that) and I use outlook 2003.

I set up several rules to filter incoming mail into a folder for each address for example

info@
sales@
support@
etc...

this works just fine. I wanted to set up additional rules though on some specific instances.

Example:
we have an online accounts system for our customers, and when they first activate it, we get an email to info@ with a subject "Customer Online Activation Complete"

I want to filter this to go into a different subfolder called "Customer Activations" so I set up another rule to MOVE emails to info@ with said subject to this subfolder. It works, but it applies both rules, and instead of moving it.. it creates 2 emails, one in the info folder and one in the customer activations folder. I tried reordering the rules to but that has no effect.

Any ideas? This is 03 as I said, but i remember having this issue with office xp as well..

Can you show the description of each rule? Maybe something is missing.
Also, did you do an Office Update? There is a service pack 1
for Outlook and a few other updates recently.

What you want to do is add 'stop processing more rules' to your rule

Beat the Outlook Guru :p :afrog:

Yeah, thats the right, and just to be 100% sure here, move the "info@ with a subject "Customer Online Activation Complete"" rule above the info@ rule...:)

since we're on the 'Outlook' subject, how can i enable outlook 2003 to block all attachments EXCEPT .zip files? I've only been able to find a hack on the web that requires registry editing and i dont really think it's that hard.
