Has anyone used domainzero.com to get a domain name? I would like to know if it gives a banner like namezero does.

hi,
i was using namezero before and it was annoying me with the adverts but now i use doaminzero and all you have is some emails no and then, so you should be alright, but it still does work on the same princaple of re-directing to another web address e.g. from geocities
Merlin ?
p.s.
visit my website and tell me what you think of my programs
http://www.merlincomputers.org/
or
http://www.blueskull.org
Indeed I have :)
http://www.vulcandev.com
it's my programming website
No banners, just a simple redirection :)
and they give you pretty good control over the DNS settings.... you can have a few subdomains too....
http://anything.vulcandev.com
and you can either go to
http://vulcandev.com
or
http://www.vulcandev.com
:)
It's great... :)

Dennis - not so sure about your HW tutorial - that's an MFC tutorial, not C++. A C++ tutorial should have:
#include <iostream>
using namespace std;
void main() {
cout << "Hello World!" << endl;
}
...like the site, though.
And back on topic...yeah, they're pretty good :) I've got my email redirected through them, now just need to work out how to get my hostname-determined website address working ;)
The tutorial is not really mine.. :o
I am taking it away next update... but.. next update will be when I register my domain for my business, Then I'll be able to use PHP and MySQL...
BTW:
Why do you always add:
using namespace std;
??
I don't really think you need it if you are only doing a simple cout...
:o

Denniswrenn, do you use domainzero? It's not a problem that it redirects, I use my own server. Thanks for the replies.

Dennis - using namespace std; is necessary in my code because I use iostream not iostream.h. This is for compatibility with the Standard C++ Library (not Microsoft's version).

Zmerlinz, I've downloaded your timer program. I will install it when I got home. Maybe you can change your host from geocities to crosswinds. Crosswinds is also free and gives no banners or popups. And crosswinds gives unlimited web space.http://www.crosswinds.net
Oetje, yes http://www.vulcandev.com is a domainzero.com domain name....
and ugggghhhh the ads have started rolling in....
but it's nothing the delete button won't cure :D
