bleh, didn't study the study guide, i don't have an algebra book anymore, and i don't have the study anymore either, so i'm stuck..

What's k?

I have the points

(2,0) and (5,2)

What's k?

I have the points

(2,0) and (5,2)
For (2,0) you have 4*2+ k*0 = 8 which is true yet doesn't help you.

But for (5,2) you substitute and get 4*5 + k*2 = 8 or:
20 +2*k = 8
2*k = 8 - 20 = -12
k = -12/2 = -6

It's a straight line with slope = k and going through the origin.
