    Start Menu Programs

    How does Microsoft decide which programs to put as the most frequently used programs in the Start Menu?
    Is there a registry entry ordered with the number of accesses or is it a database of some kind?

    Id suppose each time a program is excuted windows will keep a log some how but im not sure if its by registry

    I would have thought so too, but if this were the case why is the 'frequent use' column so wrong on the add remove control always so innacurate !?
