Resolved [RESOLVED] Loacate Crystl32.exe file using VB6

Using vb6 I am trying to access the VB Data Enviroment Designer though in website it says I need to download the Crystl32.exe in the Common/Tools folder. But I don't see the exe file.

In the samples folders I opened a projects thats shows a report designer .dsr file when I tried to pull that .dsr file into my current project I got a message that said "WebClass designers can only be used in DLL projects"

I added the references and components that the report project included but still having trouble accessing the report designer in VB6.

Any information how to install the Crystl32.exe files or how to get started with the Data designer in VB6 would be appreciated.

    Thank you,
    Zoila

    Welcome to the forums Zoila.

I may be wrong about this, but I don't think you can download it unless you are a registered Crystal Reports user/customer, and the only way to be that, as far as I know, is to purchase a copy of Crystal Reports.

I found it in Common/Tools of disk 2 of the installation CDs. It does not install through the VisualStudio installer
