Hi!
I'm trying to learn hw to use DX, but for now i can't even make the
examples working
I have installed DirectX 7a, but when I use the example showed on
microsoft's tutorial site it doesn't work! VB says that user-defined type
DirectX7 isn't defined (and every other similiar thing used in the example)!
The example (for DirectSound) is located on:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/ps...dstut_5gbm.htm
Thanks for any answer!

Direct Draw Tutorial
It just so happens that a few months ago I made a DirectDraw 7 tutorial that you might find interesting.
It's basically a load of code with MASSIVE commenting to tell you what each line is doing.
It would certainly be advantageous if you have done some windows API graphics prgramming (BitBlt and all that), since a lot of DirectDraw is a kinda similar, but much more advanced, way of doing things.
By the way you need the runtimes and/or the SDK, which I assume you have.

It's posted up there. If mine dont help there are a lot of other tutorials that have used the same idea of heavily commented code and are perhaps better for you.....?

Monday Morning Lunatic
Under Project->References, make sure that DirectX7 is selected.
I refuse to tie my hands behind my back and hear somebody say "Bend Over, Boy, Because You Have It Coming To You".
