Ladies and Gentlemen,
Your help please.
I'm about to order the new VS 2005 Beta and give it a whirl. When it arrives I want to install it on the same PC\laptop as my existing VS 2003.
Can I do this without causing any problems?
Is there anything I should be aware of before I install VS 2005 Beta? Has any one had any problems?
Thanks

Yes you can. It runs on a two different frameworks. The only consideration is the Framework 2.0+ as it implies "I am a Beta". ;)

nebulom,
Thanks for your reply :)
I should have also asked: Can the Beta be uninstalled without any problems too?

You mean the framework? Or the studio? The framework is independent from each other so installing/uninstalling it is (at least I think as I've done running 3 frameworks before) not that bad. The studio if you uninstall, is not a problem still but you give away money. Hehehe. Seriously, framework 2 has good objects. Never got a chance to use it but I've seen it. For framework info, just visit %SystemRoot%/Windows/Microsoft.Net/Framework and you'll see the versions in a sub folder.

You have lots of money there. Actually I don't do any .Net anymore. I shift my poor career to Java. I'm newbie all the time. Anyway good luck. Just remember .Net sections of it's majority users don't use 2005. Anyway you can have a book for it. I heard Framework 2.0+ offers generics programming in C# and has lots of controls not in .Net Framework 1.1.+. Go tiger, and give it a try. Good luck.

ThanksOne thing to bare in mind...I have a universal MSDN subscription, and I got a copy of VS 2005 a couple of weeks ago. As you might expect, it is not without bugs. Beware... ;)
