Looking for an Entrepreneur that is good with computer programming.
I know that I haven’t posted much on this forum but it fascinates me.
I have used the practice section numerous times but never any discussions.
The whole vbulletin model for building internet communities is ingenious.
I have an automotive holding company. Basically we have numerous automotive businesses that we hold assets in.
I have one project at hand that I am either looking for a point in the right direction or someone to stand up and say “I’m interested, whatcha got?”
I have all the ideas and the connections in my industry to put it together, I just need a computer programmer to put the rest together.
I have tried hiring companies before and the problem is they charge a lot for the work they provide. They usual have one template and they just try to shoehorn your idea into their one template. It really isn’t a custom site.
I will apologize right now I am completely “green” when it comes to all the technical terms, and concept that come along with internet websites, and computer programming.
I am a pretty quick person, I could probably pick up code but it would take me way to look and look like a 3rd grader did it.
My offer is for the right person. I have the business plan figured out and this project would reap a HUGE ROI (return on investment). I am looking for someone to work with me on this project in exchange for a percentage of the profits this project makes.
I would prefer someone in the Houston Area as that is where I am located and like to deal with people face-to-face.
I guarantee the right person that this will set them up with the funds to open their own progaming company if that is what they please.
THE PROJECT SUMMED UP:
~ Two parts;
1st. a plugin?(correct term) for vbulletin websites that the owner of the site installs. This plugin sets a standard for data entry in a selected forum. This is for data accusation in “for sale” sections of forums. The problem now is that you list your title “cleaning out garage” and then list all the items for sale in the message section of the thread. Well when I am looking for parts (automotive) I never look into the threads that say “lots of parts for sale”
It’s like on eBay 95% of people never look at ads without the gallery photo.
Now this plug in sets up a standard for listing what you have by using set fields. For example: condition: (new of used), Price wanted: , photos: description: etc.
The reason for the standard data entry is so you can easy pull info and list the items in a central “for sale” database.
That is the 2nd part of the programming needed and where we will make money.
A central site is needed to search for items.
We need a site that mirrors eBay’s layout. The reason is because it is easy to search for parts by keyword or by category. Now this eBay like forum classified site mirrors all the ads in the forums on this one central site.
We are not competing with eBay. eBay has a limited selection of items, and items are normally sold way under value. What do you think of when you say "eBay"? I think getting a deal. A lot of people are not looking for necessarily a deal they are just trying to find a particular item. All day I am the middle man linking people that are looking for something and willing to pay top dollar with someone that has the item. This website essentially takes me "the middleman" out of the equation. For example I have people looking for NASCAR used car parts all the time, I call my connections in Charlotte, locate the part then they ship the part the me, I pay the NASCAR team for the part the buyer pays me. I then ship the part to the customer. The more people that have to touch or be involved with the movement of items the less efficient the system. I would much rather have the NASCAR shops list their own stuff either in a forum or directly on this new classifieds site, then me have to touch the item. NASCAR shops have tons of used parts for sale but they are not going to "give" them away at eBay prices. That’s why you don't see many NASCAR parts on eBay. But someone is willing to pay what the NASCAR shops want for the parts. It is merely a website/portal for linking the buyer and seller. NASCAR is just one example but you get the point.
We need the forums "for sale parts" because that keeps "inventory" on our website that is updating all the time. IF we just had NASCAR shops using the site once and awhile when they were are cleaning up the garage, the site would be hot and cold, hit or miss, and we wouldn't get the following or loyal shoppers.
That is the basis of the programming needed and I can explain more of the business and where the money is made with the right prospect.

Thanks again!
Any pointing in the right direction on where I should look for this individual would be greatly appreciated.
