It's a real shame when webmasters start "requiring" Internet Explorer to view their websites. What about Netscape? Granted IE has more features and is more pleasing according to some, but why are you turning down the netscape crowd? Do we not contribute to your ads revenue? Do we not click on banners like the rest of you? Not to mention IE's various security holes and the fact that it's owned by the world's biggest monopoly. For the record, i'm not putting down Microsoft or IE because I do like using IE, but it really annoys me when web"masters" cannot make their page viewable to all. Maybe it's not a big deal to install the latest version of IE every 2 months, but what about the linux crowd? So called web"masters" know what you can and can't do in each browser and their website programming will reflect this. In addition, it's not even that difficult to have 2 pages, one for IE users and the other(s) for Netscape, Mozilla, etc. Granted this is a VB forum, so many might not agree with me on my views, but thats OK, it's only my opinion. Tired of Windows crashing all the time? Tired of having one company control 90% of the software on your computer? Then STOP contributing to it. Give Microsoft a REAL reason to make their products better. MAKE Microsoft work to keep their current customers instead of seeing what bells and whistles they can add to get more new customers.
p.s. For those who think win2k is stable? (A past reply to a post...) Try Linux. "But there's not much software, blah blah." If you stop contributing to Microsoft like it's the only thing around, I guarantee you won't have to worry about lack of software for linux.
anyways, thats my rant for the day :D
