Apache/mod_python

I am only online for a couple of minutes, now, but will check back on this as fast as I can.

Well, I know a bit about Apache, and have used it for some time in the past. But what is the mod_phyton thingy. I don't have the time to google it right now, so a short description about what it does, and so on would be nice.

PS: If it helps, I am going to use Phyton (HTML and MySQL) for this project.

Hehehe....I guess I begged for it. If I just had spelled python right too, your search would have been usefull....


Well, I have better time now, and did a search on my own, and found this:

Mod_python is an Apache module that embeds the Python interpreter within the server. With mod_python you can write web-based applications in Python that will run many times faster than traditional CGI and will have access to advanced features such as ability to retain database connections and other data between hits and access to Apache internals.
