Problem
I know this wasnt the place to post but can i get some opinions? My processor is a 3200 AMD which was running at 1ghz and i was likt ***!?!?! so i went into BIOS reset it to default restarted and it was at 2ghz so i was still pissed so i went into BIOS again and turned it up again well when i restarted it had went back to 1.2ghzso i turned it up a little more and then restarted and it never come back. Its supposed to be running at 3.2ghz so i doubt its fried. The weird thing is the second time i did it the screen took forever to show and the third time it didnt come back. All fans are on all neon is lit up everything seems to be working normaly but nothing shows on the screen... Without the processor It wouldnt even get to read the BIOS would it? How can I rule out if its the processor or not? And this sounds stupid but could my video card not support the speed lol? I thought it was strange when after the second time it took so long for the screen to show something. I tried to take out CMOS battery to reset it, but it would not come out o.0. Any help would be apreciated..

Sounds like possibly a dodgy motherboard or chip. I would guess chip, Have you recently bought it or is this an issue that has suddently come up after its been working ok?

No, it's not supposed to be running at 3.2 GHz at all. Intel's run at 3.2 GHz, yours runs slower than that, all that 3200 means is it's equivalent to a 3.2GHz P4. I dunno the actual clock speed it's supposed to be set at, but trying to set it to 3.2GHz is infact overclocking it, if it did try to go to those speeds and you have poor cooling, you may have indeed fried it.
I use Microsoft Visual Basic 2005. (Therefore, most code samples I provide will be based around the .NET Framework v2.0, unless otherwise specified)

Re: Problem
Athlon XP 2800 Clock speed is 2.2Ghz so i guess it should be about 2.3/4
